Just thought I'd add that in addition to the usual forum terms and conditions concerning abusive posts we've also decided to take a tougher line against people that:

    - clearly have no interest in furthering the aims of this forum but instead come in here to make mischief or have some little axe to grind

    - are just plain boring, such as those that click the 'quote' button and then post "whaoh! That is soooooo cooool!!!" Posts like that don't encourage people to stay here and contribute. They also give the impression that other people reading this forum are idiots with nothing better to do.

    - That keep promoting one single film or service in multiple threads. Often they will post some dull comment followed a link to whatever they happen to be spamming. One thread per film please.

    - That post in BLOCK CAPS

All offending posts will be deleted.
Repeat offenders will be locked out.
Persistent morons will be reported to their ISPs and to forum admins elsewhere.

You're going to report someone to their ISP for being a moron?

I'm sick to death of these 'vote for my (very boring) film' postings. They contribute nothing here. I'll let them run till Monday, but after that I'll do a purge and all such postings will be deleted.

Similarly anything along the lines of: "Anyone know the name of that 70s film with the wooden legged vampire?" or worse: "Can anybody help me write my boring media studies essay?"

Go away.

You're supposed to be adding content, not deleting it. It's easy to put down other people's posts but look at yours. They're so boring it hurts. Get a life.
