This forum is meant to fill a void. The UK film industry is generally rather insular, tending to form into exclusive little cliques. Symptomatic of this is that even now, mid 2005, there is still no real-time interactive forum: a place to log-in and ask film industry specific questions; check out what's going on; see what other folk are up to; promote events; maybe sort out an urgent technical problem; or even beg for help; and - with a bit of luck - get a quick reply.
Or just to have somewhere to go chew the fat.
Networking is the backbone of our industry - particularly for independents. This forum is meant to increase and enhance our networking opportunities.
Many people have been asking for this - so here it is! Enjoy this quiet early phase: it won't stay this way...
